Electrics01
A truck electrical and lighting system 12V for use with USA radios. This system gives you the option to use LIGHT BULBS and/or LEDs. There are 9 lighting functions plus control of engine start and horn. All functions are performed (we recommend) with the left stick, left to right movement. An R/C truck can be operated using a basic 4 channel radio. We recommend the Airtronics VG6000 or the Polk Tracker III 8 channel. These radios have a three position switch for shifting a 3 speed transmission and when purchased from us have the left stick up and down spring loaded and supplied with our special 75MHz based tuned antenna. Right stick up and down is forward and reverse. Right stick left to right is steering. Left stick up and down may be transmission shift, dump truck or tow truck control. Left stick, left to right using the PMD electrical system will allow you 9 functions, see below:
Control Stick Operation:- 1. When system is turned on: Brake lamps will activate for 2 seconds then all lamps out.
- 2. Left and right turn signals activate by steering servo signal. Turn signal on, duration varies.
- 3. Brake lamps activate after forward (up) or reverse (down) travel of throttle stick. When slowing from full to half throttle brake lights will momentarily activate.
- 4. Brake lights may also be activated on when parked. Brake lights function with any ESC.
- 5. Hi beams are activated separately from headlights and can be flashed on/off with control stick left about 30% for 0.5 seconds.
- 6. Emergency flashers can be toggled on/off with control stick left about 30% for 2 seconds.
- 7. AUX (lamps etc.) can be activated ON/OFF with control stick right about 30% for 4 seconds.
- 8. Head lights, tail lights and roof lamps can be turned on (lights on) with control stick right about 30% for 2 seconds.
- 9. With lights on, the roof lamps can be flashed off momentarily by moving control stick right about 30% for less than 2 seconds - more than 2 seconds will toggle roof lamps and head, tail lamps off.
- 10. Horn can be pulsed with control stick left about 100% for any duration.
- 11. Engine can be started with control stick right about 100% for 2 second
Supplied with 5 page Instruction Manual, each page is 11 x 17". The main circuit board for the system maybe installed anywhere in the cab and is activated by a remote switch mounted under the truck in a location of your choice. The front and rear circuit boards are connected to the main lighting board via 3 wires; 12V positive, negative and data line. A 6 pin trailer receptacle is provided for a hard wire trailer lighting system. We will also be offering an infrared (IR) through the king pin lighting system.
