The "Liebherr 922" tracked excavator is offered as self-assembly kit. 90% of the delivered excavator models are built by the model enthusiast themselves. Of course a certain technical knowledge as well as model building experience is recommended.
The parts are made of metal and manufactured on modern CNC-machines. This ensures the highest quality and accurate fitting. Since all parts are pre-cast just standard tools are needed for assembly. The parts are packed in modules (example; bucket, boom, base etc.) and if painting is desired they should be painted as assembled modules. The kit includes all parts needed to build a functioning hydraulic excavator model with exception of servos, battery, remote control and accessories.
The kit includes; the complete hydraulic system with pump unit, control valve, 4 hydraulic cylinders, hose lines, manifold and mounting parts. The pump unit has a pumping volume of 350ml/min (11.83 fl. oz/min) and generates a system pressure of 10bar (145psi). A pressure-controlling valve is integrated into the pump unit. The hydraulic functions of the main boom, shovel boom and shovel can be executed at the same time.
Kit includes a complete electric set with preassembled switches, charging sockets, all electric motors, special speed control unit for track drives with BEC-system and house rotating control with brake function. The model of the excavator is operated with 12V battery.
The track driven excavator can be upgraded to a one piece monoblock boom. Inside the monoblock boom is enough space to host 4 additional hoses for additional functions. Scope of delivery is all needed screws, sockets for hoses, metal sheets (unpainted) and bits and pieces.

As additional feature the track driven excavator can be equipped with a light set. A "double plate" which holds the headlights will replace the base plate of the excavator.
Scope of delivery:
Double base plate, headlights, spacer for spinner, bits and pieces
This duct allows spinning the top of the excavator endless. Without this duct the spinning is limited due to the cables, which would be twisted off otherwise.
Delivery is made with all bits and pieces as well as a template for drilling.
This makes upgrading easy.
Hydraulic quick release
The hydraulic quick release allows an exchange of the bucket during operations without using your hands. The boom of the excavator with the hydraulic quick release system has to be guided to the intake of the bucket and be blocked using the RC.
Additionally needed to operate the hydraulic quick release:
- additional controlling valve
- additional servo requires proportional RC Channel
- hydraulic hose
- sleeve with protection
