'79 Freightliner Conventional

The Conventional road tractor is an American tradition. This one is a "Work Horse" with a custom bull bar and many accessories. As with real trucks you have to "spec out" the truck that you want. This means you must decide road tractor, dumper, tow truck, tanker, stake bed, or any combination to meet your special need. Further down the page we will show you the different ways a Conventional can be configured, but not limited to what we show you. This Conventional road tractor has been "speced out" as an R/C "Work Horse" complete with detailed interior may be viewed by opening the door. The dual 12V motors may be viewed by opening the tilt hood coupled to a 3 speed metal transmission, then a metal drive shaft coupled to a 4:1 auxiliary transmission which in turn feeds tandem metal locking differentials. Because when you are pulling twin 40' trailers loaded to the maximum out of the woods you need power.

Dump Trucks

Is a 10-wheel dump truck more to your liking? Here is a traditional truck, ith full R/C featuring; start the diesel engine, sound system and sound the air horns. Steering; forward and reverse, shifting the 3-speed transmission. Dumping a load of sand or gravel are all accomplished from the hand held transmitter.

Need to move more dirt, then build a road tractor and pull a dump trailer (see TRAILERS for more options). If a tractor-trailer dump truck is your preference you can pull your trailer with an over the road tractor or pull a tag trailer with your 10-wheeler to get the loader to the job site.

  • For the short trip, a Day Cab just might be the right truck for the job. As a flatbed truck some small heavy loads can be delivered quickly.

    The Wrecker

When things go wrong and a Big Rig needs a ride home the Freightliner Conventional wrecker is what you need. Small enough to get into the jobsite, strong enough to do the work.

  • Have a lot of fuel to move? The straight truck tanker will make in town deliveries easily. Need to take more fuel to one location? Then add a "PUP" and double your capacity.

Maybe you just need a "Work Horse" that is just going to get dirty! But they do clean up nicely!

All of these trucks that we have shown you start out as a Pro chassis and a cab kit. Then just like with a real truck you choose your components to build the vehicle to do the job you have in mind.
